Dorchester taking their time

Nationwide South club Dorchester Town are taking their time in their bid to find a new permanent manager following former boss Mark Morris' departure.

Morris called time on his stint at Avenue Stadium late last week because he felt too restricted by the limited finances at the club.

New Dorchester director Chris Pugsley has confirmed that the board plan to appoint a caretaker-manager before advertising the vacant position.

Dorchester now risk starting the new Nationwide South season on August 12 without a permanent replacement due to the lengthy nature of recruiting and interviewing candidates.

Under-18's boss Trevor Senior and Hamworthy United manager Phil Simkin are believed to be in the frame for the post.

Ex-Dorchester and Weymouth boss Stuart Morgan and current reserve manager Paul Morrell are also likely to be in the running for the job.
