Charles moves back to Shots
Anthony Charles

Aldershot Town manager Terry Brown has re-signed former defender Anthony Charles from League Two side Barnet on loan until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has fallen out of favour with Paul Fairclough's side and has lost his place in the starting line-up, prompting a return to the Conference.

Charles previously played 45 games for the Shots and helped them win promotion to the Nationwide Conference in 2003 before moving on to Farnborough and Barnet.

"It may surprise a few that I have signed Anthony again," Shots boss Brown told the club's offical website.

But he added: "I have never had any doubt about his talent. He ticks all the boxes that I need."

Nationwide Conference Poll
Do you think the play-offs are fair or that promotion should be decided by final league position?
Fair, give more clubs a chance
