FA charge Yates for headbutt
|
Mark Yates |
Kidderminster manager Mark Yates has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association for his altercation with Exeter winger Lee Elam.
The charge relates to an incident that happened after the final whistle of last Saturday's match between the two sides at Aggborough Stadium, after which Yates appeared to headbutt the Grecians player.
Harriers chairman Barry Norgrove has confirmed that the club received official confirmation of the charge in a letter on Wednesday, and the matter is now in the hands of the club's legal expert Oliver Hunt.
Kidderminster released the following statement through the Kidderminster Shuttle:
"Further to reports and speculation surrounding an alleged incident that took place between Kidderminster manager Mark Yates and Exeter player, Lee Elam, the club confirms that Mark has been formally charged with misconduct by the FA.
"We understand that Mark will be requesting a personal hearing at the FA and so we are unable to comment any further until the outcome of any such hearing is known."
