Legg wants Hucknall post
|
Andy Legg |
Hucknall Town caretaker-manager Andy Legg has revealed that he wants the manager's job permanently, despite a disappointing pair of defeats.
Town were recently defeated by struggling Leigh RMI, which effectively means that they are now out of the promotion race and were then sent crashing out of the Notts FA Senior Cup by long-time rivals Eastwood Town.
"I want the chance to prove to people that I can get in the right players who can battle and play football," Legg told Hucknall Today.
"This isn't my team but, given a chance, I will bring in my own players.
"It's hard for me because I'm going to get judged on the results and performances of players who were at the club when I took over.
"I can't do anything about that at the moment. I've certainly changed the style of play but I haven't had the results.
"I've got a list of players who I want to try and bring in but I can't do anything until the end of the season.
"I've also arranged some pre-season games so even if I don't get the job, I want to leave the club in good hands."
