Woking to name new boss
|
Liam Daish and Terry Brown are reportedly heading a shortlist of four possible candidates for the vacant manager's post at Woking.
The club have already revealed that current St Albans boss Colin Lippiatt will link up with the club as Director of football after Saturday's last round of Nationwide Conference fixtures.
Club captain Neil Smith was appointed a player-coach following the departure of Glenn Cockerill and his assistant Matt Crossley, while Graham Baker was appointed caretaker-manager.
"I'm really chuffed to be returning and I hope my involvement will benefit the club as well as me," Lippiatt told Woking News and Mail.
"I'll be working closely on all aspects of football, working with the new manager in an advisory capacity, on things such as player recruitment, and being there to give any advice and recommendations and ideas.
"The candidate we choose, we believe, will be up the job and I will be on hand to help where I can.
"We will sit down and examine all four candidates, interview them, and invite the one we want, but of course, in football you don't always get your number one choice so we need a back up."
