How do I sign up?

Signing up is simple. Some of our video remains free to view e.g. the archive from past seasons, but when you try to access a video stream that requires a subscription, our system detects this and asks you to login (in case you have subscribed on another computer) or to sign up. You will then be presented with a screen requesting your credit / debit card details and sufficient verification information to validate your transaction. Following a successful authorization, you are given immediate access to the video stream.

Please note the installation of a licence is restricted to one computer only and is non-transferable.

How does a repeating subscription work?

Each subscription allows access for a fixed period of time (term). If you want continuous access, then you simply select the 'repeat' function when subscribing and our system will automatically renew your subscription at the end of each term.*

Nb* although planned, the repeating service is not currently available so users will have to reapply once their licence has expired.

How do I stop a repeating subscription?

To stop a repeating subscription, you log into the system using a secure link and select 'Stop' under the Repeating Subscription section.*

Nb* The Link for the user to cancel their subscription is sent to them when they subscribe to a repeating licence.

Do I have to have QuickTime™ installed in my computer?

No. The video is shown in a Windows Media Player window. This is included in Windows XP (Home and Pro) and for older systems can be downloaded from the here.

Can I use my Apple Mac?

MAC Users will need to run a Windows Operating System on their Intel based MAC (the new ones) and then use the Windows Media Player therein to view the content.

Fundamentally this is actually a MAC decision:
Apple has refused to provide the technical details necessary to implement Windows Media DRM on OSX, so Microsoft decided to spend their development money elsewhere - channel9.msdn.com

Until a third party developer integrates Windows Media DRM then MAC users will not be able to use protected content in their Windows Media Players.

What will be shown on my Credit Card Statement?

Your statement will show 'WebPay', a transaction reference and the amount. Nothing more.

Can I cancel my subscription?

There is no need to cancel a subscription. Simply allow it to expire having made sure that any repeating subscription has been cancelled and access to the service will cease.

How do I request a refund?

To request a refund, simply email with your membership number in the 'Subject' box, detailing your reasons for the refund in the main body of the email. Our dedicated team aim to reply to you within 24 hours of your request. A refund, once authorised will usually show up on your next credit or debit card statement, although in some instances, it may be delayed until the following month dependant on how near the request was made to the Merchant's cut-off date.

What is the delay between paying and being able to view the clips?

Once your payment is authorised, a licence is installed on your computer and you are able to immediately view the video stream.

Why are the video clips not playing?

Try testing your player by playing sample files. It is also worth checking your connection speed; take a look at the support pages on http://support.microsoft.com for more information.

Why can't I save the video clips on my hard drive?

The video clips are only offered through streaming, not as downloads so you will only be able to run the clips through the website.

Why does the stream sometimes stop or stutter?

The amount of information that can travel along the average telephone line is limited. Current streaming technology makes best efforts not to lose this information and holds or 'buffers' it until the line is clear to receive further information, which is why there is sometimes a stuttering or delaying effect when receiving a stream.

What can I do to make the clips run smoother?

You can check for the latest updates for your video card driver and DirectX by visiting http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
