Worksop sign Wilson
|
Steve Wilson |
Nationwide North club Worksop Town have solved their goalkeeping crisis with the capture of experienced goalkeeper Steve Wilson.
Manager Ronnie Glavin was under pressure to find a new goalkeeper following the shock departure of Adam Sollitt to local rivals Gainsborough Trinity.
Following Wilson's encouraging performances against Rossington Main and Coca-Cola League One outfit Doncaster Rovers recently, Glavin decided to offer the 32-year-old stopper a deal.
Wilson began his career with Hull City and went on to play for Macclesfield, first on loan and then on a full-time basis.
Glavin has made Wilson his eighth signing of the summer with Tony Crane, Ben Saunders, Steve Robinson, Kevin Davies, Steve Owens, Steve Nicholson and Michael Simpkins already having joined the club.
