Newman issues warning
|
Cambridge United manager Rob Newman has made it clear to his players that he will not accept losses in pre-season to sides in lower divisions.
The U's went down 3-1 to Norwich at the weekend and it prompted Newman to remind his squad that their places are at stake.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "We have friendlies coming up against Fakenham Town and Enfield, Cambridge City and we must deliver.
"We were beaten by Norwich but the players are now fighting for places."
