Northwich clinch Dodds loan
|
Nationwide Conference side Northwich Victoria have clinched the services of Leicester City striker Louis Dodds on a month's loan.
Foxes manager Rob Kelly has allowed the 20-year-old to join the Vics as he has not yet managed to break into the first-team.
Leicester assistant boss Mike Stowell believes that stint in the Conference will be a great chance for Dodds' to gain some valuable first-team experience.
Stowell said: "Louis is a promising young striker who needs to get some football under his belt.
"He's scored at every level since he's been here and it's just a question now as to whether he can take the next step.
"The move gives us the chance to take a good look at him. We'll have someone at all his games and we'll watch him closely. He's still learning and growing into the game.
"Several clubs from the Conference had expressed an interest in taking Louis on loan. He's certainly hot property at that level."
