Nationwide Conference side Southport FC, have secured the loan services of Accrington Stanley defender Danny Ventre.

Manager Paul Cook has returned to his former club for the former Chester full-back and has struck a deal with Stanley boss John Coleman to bring him to Southport on a month-long loan deal.

The 20-year-old defender joined Accrington in August last year and started 10 games in their Conference title winning season.

However, he has failed to break into the first-team at all this season, making just one appearance in their League Two campaign.
