Wolves eye striker McLean
|
Aaron McLean |
Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly keeping tabs on highly-rated Grays Athletic striker Aaron McLean.
The 23-year old striker has been a hot commodity for the Nationwide Conference side and they have previously turned down bids from a number of League clubs.
Wrexham also made a late bid in August last year but Grays stood firm in their desire to hold on to the young frontman.
Manager Frank Gray seems to be resigned to losing McLean in the summer transfer window after attracting interest once again, with 12 goals to his name this season.
Molineux assistant boss Ian Evans watched the striker score in midweek as Grays lost to Tamworth and manager Mick McCarthy apparently has plans to watch him again as he looks to boost his striking options.
Wolves are one of eight clubs tracking McLean and the striker would probably demand a six figure fee if he does move.
