Tann undergoes surgery
|
Adam Tann |
Former Cambridge United defender Adam Tann has undergone surgery after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer last week.
Tann is currently playing with Leyton Orient and thanks to the early diagnosis the surgery was believed to be highly successful.
He is set to find out in the coming weeks whether or not he will undergo chemotherapy.
Tann came up through the Cambridge Youth set-up, making his debut at the age of 17 and also played for the England Under 18's in 2001.
By the age of 21 Tann had already appeared 148 times for Cambridge United, appearing as a substitute just 11 times and getting his name on the scoresheet eight times.
Following the U's relegation to the Nationwide Conference in 2005 he had a short stay at Notts County before joining Leyton Orient where he had bedded himself in to the First Team.
