Hyde swoop for Flitcroft
David Flitcroft

Hyde United manager David Flitcroft has pulled off a major coup with the signing of midfielder David Flitcroft from League Two side Bury.

The experienced midfielder parted ways with the Shakers after reaching a mutual agreement to cancel his contract.

The 32-year-old is the Shakers' current player of the year but has found his first-team chances few and far between of late.

Flitcroft made 108 appearances and scored four goals since joining Bury from Macclesfield in February 2004.

After starting out at Preston, Flitcroft also went on to play for Lincoln, Chester and Rochdale.

Hyde have also taken Adam Williams, a left winger, on a work experience deal from Bury.

Williams lives in Tameside and has joined the Tigers to get some match practice.
