Canaries wary of Lambs
|
Peter Grant |
Norwich boss Peter Grant has warned his players to expect a "tough" challenge when they meet Tamworth in the FA Cup third round.
The Canaries will meet the Conference outfit - who have beaten Burton and Rushden and Diamonds to reach this stage - at the Lamb Ground on the weekend of January 6/7.
Tamworth are currently languishing in 21st place in the fifth tier of English football, but Grant is adamant his side will not underestimate the underdogs.
"It's always potentially tough for a league side drawn away to non-league opposition and there's absolutely no doubt that Tamworth will be delighted with the draw and up for the occasion," he told the club's official website.
"We have to make sure we get our preparation right, as far as I'm concerned we will prepare in the same way we would for a Premiership side.
"We will have to be mentally strong and on top of our game. We will watch them as soon as we can."
