Posh still keen on Boyd
Barry Fry

Peterborough director of football Barry Fry has confirmed he is still interested in signing Stevenage Borough striker George Boyd.

Posh have already had one bid rejected for the 21-year old, who Fry believes can help United in their quest for promotion from league Two.

He said: "We've had a bid rejected and we've been back with another bid but as yet we've not had a response.

"He can play in several positions and we think he can go right to the top. We've been monitoring him for years but we've never had the money behind us before."

Boro chairman Phil Wallace said earlier this week: "We believe we're in with a chance of the play-offs so we want to keep our players together as long as possible."

Boyd has scored eight goals for the Nationwide Conference club so far this season.
