Boss chuffed with battlers
|
Phil Robinson |
Stafford boss Phil Robinson paid tribute to his players' battling performance as their win at Altrincham moved them into the top half of the table.
A Guy Madjo headed goal was enough to see the visitors through and to lift them into mid-table safety.
Rangers boss Robinson told BBC Sport: "The lads worked tremendously hard.
"There was some good play and we created a lot of excellent chances in the first half and we were unlucky not to have scored more goals."
Robinson praised his sides resilience and stressed the importance of his side grabbing all three points.
He added: "We had to hang on at times in the second half and under pressure we stood firm and made sure we got the points."
