Barrow loan for Doughty
|
Simon Grayson |
Nationwide North side Barrow have secured the services of Blackpool defender Phil Doughty on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old has yet to make his league debut for the Seasiders after breaking both bones in his leg but is a regular for the reserves and became the youngest Blackpool player to play in the FA Cup in 2002.
"This will give Phil some good experience," said Tangerines boss Simon Grayson said.
"The Conference north is a good strong division and Phil will benefit more from playing in their first team than he will playing in the last few reserve games with us.
"Like all our players who are out on loan we will monitor his progress and take it from there."
