Whitehead card rescinded
|
Kidderminster captain Stuart Whitehead has received a welcome boost with news that his red card for a recent sending-off has been rescinded.
Whitehead was given his marching orders in the 1-1 draw at St Albans on 24 March.
However, the match referee mistook Whitehead for fellow defender Glenn Wilson when a tackle was made in the 82nd minute.
Whitehead was subsequently shown a second yellow card but upon reviewing the incident using video evidence, the Football Association have cleared the 30-year old.
Whitehead's second yellow card has now been attributed to Wilson.
