Cambridge suffer Fylnn blow
|
Cambridge Utd will have to make do without Crewe loanee Chris Flynn after the midfielder suffered a foot injury during Sunday's 4-0 win at Northwich.
Flynn has returned to Crewe to assess to full extend of the injury and Cambridge boss Jimmy Quinn is hoping to have him back in action sooner rather than later.
"He's gone back to Crewe for x-rays and treatment," Quinn told the club's official website, "and fortunately they have confirmed that it's not a broken toe.
"He will be too sore to play on Saturday but we're hoping that he will be back for the game at Halifax because he's done a good job and shown good quality.
"He had a fantastic game on Sunday, and he worked hard to help the team keep its shape and kept the ball well.
"In the meantime, it's an opportunity for someone to come in and stake a claim on Saturday, and after Sunday's performance they're all bright and sharp and looking forward to the next game."
