Grecians draw okay for Gray
|
Frank Gray |
Grays Athletic boss Frank Gray preferred to dwell on his team's good performance rather than the two points they dropped against Exeter last night.
Billy Jones scored an injury-time equaliser for Exeter in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Bridge Road on Tuesday night to deny Grays all three points.
But despite missing out on the chance to move within 10 points of Oxford at the top of the table, Gray was pleased with the manner of his team's display.
"That was a 100 per cent better performance than Saturday's loss to Morecambe," Gray told BBC.
"It's as well as we have played at home all term and I think the crowd enjoyed seeing us play a bit of football.
"Obviously we are disappointed to concede in the last minute but it was a much-improved performance."
Grays are seventh on the table on 21 points, 12 points behind Oxford.
