Nigel Clough, manager of Nationwide Conference side Burton Albion, has voiced his disappointment following his side's loss at Forest Green on Tuesday.

The Lambs were on a run of nine-matches without a loss but it came to an abrupt halt on Tuesday evening when Jim Harvey's Rovers earned a hard-fought 1-0 victory thanks to a 32nd minute goal from Adriano Rigoglioso.

"The run was going to come to an end sooner or later," Clough told the BBC.

"You just don't want it to come to an end in a 1-0 (defeat) where we haven't really had a go.

"At least if you have a go and then you lose you say 'fair enough, there isn't anything we can do about it'. But we just feel we didn't do that."
