Jaszczun calls time on career
Tommy Jaszczun

Nationwide Confernce side Cambridge United have lost the services of left-back Tommy Jaszczun as he has decided to retire from the game.

The Englishman has been out of action since November with a toe injury which has failed to heal after an operation and prolonged rehabilitation.

The 29-year-old signed on loan from League Two side Rochdale during the 2006 January transfer window and made the move permanent in July of that year.

Jaszczun is the second Cambridge player to retire this year with Richie Hanlon calling it a day two months ago with a persistant knee problem.
