Histon moved four points clear at the top of the Nationwide South on Tuesday after a comprehensive 4-0 win over third-placed Havant & Waterlooville.

Neil Kennedy boosted the Stutes with a goal right on the stroke of half time and then nine minutes after the break he added a second.

Adie Cambridge added a third 17 minutes from time before Kennedy completed his hat trick with five minutes left on the clock.

Bishop's Stortford maintained their hopes of reaching the play-offs with a 2-1 win at Church Road against Hayes, who remain third-bottom on the league table.

Kieran Knight put the Missioners one up in the 12th minute but John Turner levelled the scores four minutes before half time.

Greg Pearson bagged what proved to be the winner five minutes after the break.

Bedford Town did their hopes of survival no harm after earning a 1-1 draw at the New Eyrie against Eastbourne Borough.

Both goals came shortly after half time, with Allan Tait giving Boro the lead and Jason James immediately pulling the Eagles level a minute later.

Yeading and Sutton United are locked together in mid-table and Tuesday's 2-2 draw at The Warren.

Marvin Morgan put Yeading ahead with a penalty after nine minutes and Joe Healy made it 2-0 six minutes later.

Warren McBean pulled one back for the U's five minutes before half time and then two minutes before the final whistle Craig Tanner grabbed a dramatic equaliser.
