Nationwide North club Alfreton Town have secured the services of central defender Ryan Laight on loan from Championship side Barnsley.

The 21-year-old Oakwell academy product will stay with Marcus Ebdon's side until April 28 and is expected to make his debut against Lancaster City this Saturday.

Laight has made only one first-team appearance for the Tykes, as a late substitute at Bristol City in February last year.

He has just returned from a four-month loan spell at Nationwide Conference side Tamworth, where he made 16 appearances.
