Grant wants Aldershot stay

Aldershot striker John Grant has given his clearest indication that he intends to stay at the Recreation Ground and is keen to renew his contract.
With 18 goals this season, the 25-year-old is the Shots' top scorer this season and has been linked with a move to League One side Brentford.
There were rumours that Grant would be unwilling to stay at the club following manager Terry Brown's intention to step down before the end of the season to care for his sick wife, but those have now been quashed.
"I want to stay at the club 100%. I am sure we will sort out a new contract soon," Grant told Sky Sports.
"The fans and everyone at Aldershot have been great to me and if I was to leave it wouldn't be anything to do with me," he added.
Aldershot are currently 11th on the Nationwide Conference table and appear out of reach of the play-offs, although Grant's decision to stay provides a boost for next season.
