Scarborough head coach Mark Patterson has admitted that Ged Dalton has been the subject of interest from some of the top clubs in England.
The likes of Liverpool, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield United have all been linked to the young star and Patterson can see why.
Patterson told the Sheffield Star: "Ged's name is very hot at the moment.
"You will get scouts coming to watch any in-form young player because names are passed around very quickly.
"We had one or two down for our game against Hyde and I'm sure a few more will come down in the future."
Patterson also admitted that there is still more to come from the youngster and that he is the type of player that he would like to keep a hold of.
He continued: "I think he will progress over the next few seasons, but we'll have to see how things go.
"He is a player we would love to keep hold of because he does have plenty of ability about him."
