Consortium nearing takeover
The Shay

Halifax Town have been boosted by the news that their future appears to be safe after the club confirmed a takeover was close to completion.

A consortium of businessmen have reached an agreement to pay off all the clubs existing debts, which are said to be in the region of £250,000, and will make further investments within the club.

Supporters of the club have also pledged to dig deep into their own pockets to help pay off the club's CVA and to help meet the general running costs for the month of March.

The proposed new owners have planned to help manager Chris Wilder's team-building plans and assist with redeveolopment of the clubs existing stadium and facilities.
