Bishop feeling confident

Bury striker Andy Bishop is confident he can make the step up to league football after enjoying two prolific years in the Conference with York.

And despite the jump in quality, 23-year-old Bishop is sure he will be hitting the net on a regular basis in the coming season, having broken his duck in the 3-1 friendly win over Radcliffe.

"I've settled in straight away," Bishop said. "I thought it was the right decision to move up a league and see what I can do in this league.

"I wouldn't have come here if I didn't think I could perform at a decent level and I have scored goals in the league before so hopefully I can do it this season.

"For a forward, your job is to score goals so I'm used to that pressure. Every forward has got to be looking at 20 goals and if I can get anywhere near that, I'll be happy."
