Boylan signs for Grays

Nationwide Conference side Grays Athletic have secured the services of Canvey Island striker Lee Boylan on a one-year contract.

The Chelmsford-born forward has been a prolific scorer for Canvey for the past four seasons, bagging an impressive 164 goals.

Boylan started his career as a trainee with West Ham and went on to play for Trelleborg, Kingstonian, Exeter City, Hayes and Heybridge Swifts.

He then signed for Canvey in August 2001 and ended the season as the Ryman League's top scorer and helped the Islanders gain promotion to the Conference.
