Hart: We need to believe
|
Paul Hart |
Rushden and Diamonds manager Paul Hart feels his team need to believe in themselves again following Tuesday nights 1-0 defeat at Morecambe.
The gaffer said: "I thought that Sammy McIlroy's Morecambe were a very good team and they played well.
"In fact they did exactly to us what we have done before in terms of passing the ball, particularly in the first half last night.
"The lads are disappointed and they are saying that two Morecambe players were two yards offside for the goal.
"I couldn't see from where I was. But in the second half I don't think that we played particularly well.
"We are having to learn some very harsh lessons at the moment. Looking at the chances we had, we should have got stuck in and dived in there with a bit of bravery. That's what it needs sometimes to score goals.
"Simeon Jackson probably should have scored with his first-half header. But overall I don't want to make excuses or say too much at all really.
"We just have to keep going and get the players believing again in what they are doing.
"They look tired, although I'm not making a big issue out of that either. They are young and feeling it now."
