Collymore snubs Stafford
Stan Collymore

Former Nottingham Forest and Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has rejected the chance to return to football with Conference side Stafford Rangers.

Collymore played for Stafford between 1990-91 but is not interested in returning to Marston Road, according to his agent Simon Kennedy.

Kennedy says the 35-year-old is only interested in reviving his career at a Premiership or Championship club, having previously played for the likes of Crystal Palace, Southend, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Fulham, Leicester, Bradford and Real Oviedo.

Kennedy told BBC Radio Stoke his client has "no interest whatsoever" in playing non-league football, but is currently in Tenerife undergoing intensive fitness training as he prepares for a possible return to the top-flight.
