Crawley Town striker Lloyd Blackman has gone under the knife to repair a recurring groin injury which has plagued him for the past few weeks.

The 23-year-old has been suffering from an injury known as 'Gilmore's Groin' but has played on for the Red Devils despite the discomfort.

He is expected to sit out the next four weeks as he recovers and will definitely be missed by caretaker-manager David Woozley.

"Lloyd's been struggling now for the past four games, but he's done the team a favour," Woozley told the club's official website.

"We've had a busy period of games, but Lloyd's managed to play through his injury which was a great contributor to us."
