Halifax players in limbo

The future of Nationwide Conference club Halifax Town and it's players looks uncertain with news that the proposed takeover of the club has stalled.

This follows the resignation of chairman Geoff Ralph on Friday afternoon and Town went on to suffer a defeat at the hands of Tamworth the next day.

"There was a little bit of chat about the situation on the bus on the way to the game on Saturday and the overwhelming feeling is one of uncertainty," defender Steve Haslam told Halifax Today.

"And the biggest uncertainty is for the manager who doesn't know which way the club is going at the moment.

"He needs to sort things out, plan for next season and move things on.

"It has been a difficult few days, but we won't use it as an excuse for Saturday's display.
