Peter Bolton has stepped down from his position as chairman of Rushden and Diamonds after less than two months in charge of the club.

According to the club's official website Bolton resigned as club chairman and director to an unexpected increase in work commitments.

A Trust Board meeting will be held on Monday evening to discuss the appointment of a new chairman.
