Parrish offered Cobblers job

AFC Telford United could lose their club captain Sean Parrish after it emerged that League One club Northampton Town have offered him the job of youth team coach.

Parrish is an integral part of Telford United's squad, bringing experience to the midfield and new Cobblers boss John Gorman is keen to bring him to Sixfields.

The 34-year-old has been to Northampton for talks with Gorman but as yet he has not made a decision on his future.

"It's a very difficult decision for me," Parrish told shropshirestar.co.uk.

"It's not about finances because I would probably be worse off, but it's full-time football and I'd be back in the full-time game where I've been all my adult life so it's very tempting."
