Nationwide Conference side Stevenage have dismissed rumours that Crystal Palace are keen to sign midfielder George Boyd, who has also been linked with Leeds.
The Championship big guns have both reportedly been tracking the promising youngster, who caught the eye with his performances for the Conference club last term.
But Borough boss Mark Stimson said: "That is the first I have heard of it, although there could have been some interest in George last season, before I took over.
"Crystal Palace are a big club and I know [their manager] Peter Taylor, so if they were to do anything on that front, I'm sure they would go about it properly.
"George has the ability to play at a higher level, but we are desperate not to lose him, because he is a phenomenal talent."
