Exeter City striker Jamie Mackie has given the club a boost with his decision to extend his stay at St James' Park for another 12 months.

The 21-year-old former Milton Keynes Dons player will now be with the Grecians until the end of next season.

Mackie told the Express and Echo: "This is a quality club and I signed a new contract because I want to play a massive part in taking us up.

"I'm massively ambitious and I wouldn't have signed unless I thought we were capable of getting into the play-offs."
