King raid on Canvey

Jeff King, manager of Ryman League Premier Division club Chelmsford City, has returned to his former club Canvey Island to secure the services of two players.

Defender Jay Conroy and goalkeeper Richard McKinney have both agreed to re-unite with boss King at Chelmsford after an initial training session on Monday evening.

Liam Hopkins and Peter Smith were also present at the training session in the hopes of earning contracts for the new season.

manager King and his is assistant Glenn Pennyfather are delighted with the players secured thus far and they are expected to make more signings before the end of the week.
