Oxford capture Gilchrist

Oxford United manager Jim Smith has been dabbling in the transfer market and brought Phil Gilchrist back to the club.

The 32 year old made his departure from Rotherham at the end of the season and joins up with Oxford for a second time.

His last spell with the club ended some seven years ago when he left to join Leicester City.

"It's great to be back, but it's all about what we do in the future now, not what happened here the first time," Gilchrist told Oxford's website.
