Nationwide Conference National side Forest Green Rovers are chasing the signature of Chippenham Town defender Matthew McEntegart.

Rovers are expected to sign the 23-year-old Australian this week even though he had been strongly linked with Conference South side Newport County.

But Forest Green manager Gary Owers is confident that McEntegart will report for pre-season training with his side ahead of the new season.

"It will happen - it's just a matter of completing the formalities," Owers told the Gloucester Citizen newspaper.
