Soares gets Barbados call
Louie Soares

Aldershot Town winger Louie Soares has been selected to play for Barbados in the Digicel Caribbean Cup to be played in Trinidad & Tobago in January.

The former Reading and Barnet midfielder has scored six goals in twenty-eight appearances this season and is available for selection in three scheduled matches.

Aldershot manager Terry Brown was delighted with Soares' selection: "I am so pleased for Louie. He is a fantastic lad with loads of ability and this will do his confidence the world of good as will the experience.

"Everybody at the club is pleased for him and we are also grateful to the officials of the Barbados FA, who have been gracious enough for us to keep Louie for the Blackpool FA Cup Third Round tie.

"We will lose him for the Crawley Town league fixture, but this is a superb opportunity for the lad."
