Setback for Winfield

Aldershot Town have revealed that defender Dave Winfield looks likely to be out of action for some time with a niggling toe injury.

The young Shots defender has been on the sidelines for the past two months after suffering a broken toe in the match against league leaders Oxford United.

The injury, however, has failed to heal properly and he will need a further two months to fully recover.

He will undergo an operation to assist with the healing process and is expected to return to light training in a month's time.
